Sedation Dentistry in Livingston, NJ
Are you uncomfortable at the dentist’s office? Do you sometimes delay your regular cleanings and exams due to anxiety? If so, you aren’t alone. Many people have a fear of going to the dentist’s office, but it’s important to keep up with your appointments.
To assist with some of our patients’ fears of the dentist’s office, Livingston Dental Group offers sedation dentistry near you. Sedation dentistry can help you relax during your dental cleanings, exams, and other treatments and procedures.
What Types of Sedation Dentistry Are Available?
At Livingston Dental Group, we offer a few types of sedation dentistry. In most cases, we start patients with the lowest level of sedation and work our way up if needed.
We offer gas, oral, and IV sedation options. Laughing gas is our most common option. You will breathe in nitrous oxide through a mask, which will help you relax.
Oral or pill sedation makes you feel drowsy, so you can feel more at ease during your appointment. You may fall asleep during your appointment, but we can still wake you if needed.
IV sedation uses an IV line that gives you a flow of medication. You will not be conscious during your appointment, so you will feel comfortable.
Is Sedation Dentistry a Good Choice for You?
